4 stars. Full review posted October 30, 2014One of my favorite scenes:Clay Bauer's team is attending a security conference in New Orleans. Top people from every important agency in the U.S. as well as from abroad are in town to discuss terrorism, drug wars and illegal immigration. Tucker's cousin, the confident Zoe Renard, is an ex-lawyer who gave up her career to become a writer of romantic horror stories and is also volunteering at a women's shelter in New Orleans. Of course Tucker and his bud [...]

3.7 Stars!I liked this book for the most part, however, I could not give more stars prior to my personal tastes which were "both Hero and heroine were married before"I know this is not a big deal for many, but for me it deterred a bit from my full enjoyment of the love story. I like my Heroes and heroines to be "the most special one" and not second best, which was in a way for both here. On a positive light, the Hero has never allowed his true nature to materialised whilst being married to his w [...]

The third book in the Hostage Rescue Team series by Kaylea Cross. FBI Special Agent Clay Bauer is in New Orleans with several members of HRT for some kind of conference nearby and they visit Tuck's cousin, Zoe Renard, since they are there. Clay finds the quirky lady sexy and when trouble comes along he steps up.Another good addition to the series. I loved the characters and the story and there really isn't much more to say. I am enjoying this series.

I thought Clay and Zoe would make an interesting couple when they appeared and sort of flirted in the last book. It was fun watching them do the dance in this book, to see Clay do the subtle "mine, hands off" gestures to the guys in his team, how his BFF who is also Zoe's cousin, warn Zoe about Clay. The thing is that they worked. She admired his strength, while he admired her quirkiness. I could have done with out the battered woman on the run, but then how else could we have gotten the HRT in. [...]

I really really enjoyed this book. The HRT men and the women they ultimately loose their hearts to are Amazing. This is Clay and Zoe' s story along with some of the other HRT men. Clay is a quiet take charge when necessary seal and Zoe is a quirky "I am who I am and I don't care if you like me or my style" kinda gal! I loved her uniqueness her attitude and her ability to love and live her life after an abusive marriage. I loved how she pulled Clay out of his shell after his bitch of an ex tried [...]

4.25 RATING- If you haven't read the earlier books in the Hostage Rescue Team series, I'd recommend starting with the first one, Marked. While each book could work as a stand alone just fine, there seems to be a bit of a lead in to the next book in each one. Sometimes in a series you have to read one book to get to the one you want but each book in the Hostage Rescue Team series has been a good, solid, enjoyable read and I can recommend them all! Hunted was definitely no exception!I really liked [...]

This series just keeps getting better with each book. Zoe is such a unique character I loved her when she was introduced in book 2. She is best friends with Celida and cousin to Tuck. She is everything I like in my h as she is not shy about saying what she wants and does not take sh*t from anyone. She lives in New Orleans and is a writer. She also helps out with families who are in need. This story begins with her aiding a mother and son escape an abusive boyfriend. The boyfriend has connections [...]

This action packed story kept me on the edge of my seat. Clay Bauer is an FBI agent attending a security convention in New Orleans when he sees Zoe again. He’s known Zoe for years and although he’s always been attracted to her, he keeps his distance because she’s his best friend’s cousin and he doesn’t want to hurt her. Unfortunately, Clay’s ex wife changed his outlook on all women, and since his disastrous marriage, he doesn’t have any interest in getting involved with anyone. I l [...]

Kaylea Cross is one of my auto-purchase authors and I love all of her hero’s/heroines.Clay was blind-sided in the past by his ex-wife, so that has caused him to be weary of women and to write-off all women. Well, all women, except for the one that’s off limits to him because of who she is – his partners cousin Zoe. He wants her but knows that he is no good for her and thinks he will hurt her in the end. Zoe doesn’t know much about what happened between Clay and his ex-wife, but she knows [...]

Received an ARC from NetGalley for reviewGreat book, heavy on the action and suspense with a perfect amount of romance. I love Zoe and her sass and knowing exactly what she wanted. I would have like to have seen more of Clay's dominate side, but what we did see was amazing. He was the perfect guy for Zoe. Now I have to wait till next year to read the next book, Matt and the mysterious B (if I tell you about her, I'd have to kill you).

This book was a little different from the others I've read by Kaylea Cross, and while not one of my favorites, I did enjoy it. It had very interesting characters, an engrossing storyline, and plenty of action.

This third book in the Hostage Rescue Team series has it allspense, intrigue, romance, humor, heart-tugging moments. I couldn't put it down.Clay and Zoe are my favorite characters in this series yet. From the set up background we got on them in book 2 I was anxious for their story. Clay's back story is touchy and Zoe is the perfect foil for him. Her independence and lack of concern over what others think of her is just what he needs to help him heal. The suspense part of this story related to an [...]

Things are getting intense in the Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) series by Kaylea Cross. In Hunted, Intense should really be Clay Bauer’s middle name. He is an intimidating HRT member and I think Zoe Renard is the only person on the planet that could get under that tough exterior. We meet both of these characters in earlier books. Bauer is teammate to Tuck and Zoe is Tuck’s cousin. She also happens to be Celida’s best friend. So, Bauer runs into her an awful lot. Cross set Bauer and Zoe up grea [...]

This series just keeps getting better with each book. Clay wasn’t as outgoing or approachable as Jake and Tuck. He was jaded, had serious trust issues with women and thought most women were manipulative. A little background in the previous book revealed that Clay had once been married then divorced, but it had left scars. He was jaded and thought most women were manipulative. With good reason. Zoe was…wow. I loved her. After her own failed divorce, she really took life by the horns and made [...]

I'm so glad I discovered this series. This is book three and although they are each standalone books, reading them in sequence will explain all the character's relationships and let you know what's been going on.Clay Bauer had a really bad first marriage and swore he'd never again fall for another woman. But something about Zoe brings him to life and makes him want to feel again. Zoe is Tuck's cousin and knows Clay was hurt, but she doesn't rush him and only hopes he'll be willing to give them a [...]

Kaylea Cross's Hunted brings 2 very, very different people - a former Seal turned FBI and a Goth romance-horror writer - together. Clay and Zoe had been introduced to us in Targeted, but a security conference and a domestic abuse case blown wide open reunite them in New Orleans. Clay and Zoe do burn up the sheets and with their story already set up in the previous book, their blatant need for each other is pretty much present from the onset, although the sexy times are less risque here than the [...]

I had been looking forward to Clay and Zoe's story and was not disappointed! Zoe and Clay have been attracted to each other for a long time but Clay wants to stay away from her because he doesn't trust women. He had a bad marriage and even worse divorce. Zoe has also been divorced but hasn't let that bring her down. She changed her life to bring it in lone who who she is instead of trying to keep things hidden like she did while she was married. Kayla Cross - Hunted (Hostage Rescue Team Series Book 3) In Book 3 of the HRT Series, is focused on FBI Special Agent Clay Bauer and Zoe Renard. We have met both of in Books 1 and 2. Bauer is cynical and doesn’t trust women, but is drawn to Zoe and can’t get her out of his mind. He will not give into the pull for her and risk his heart again.
