~ 3 Wolf’s Song Stars ~ Wolf’s Song is book four in the Black Hills Wolves by Taryn Kincaid. I have been reading this series out of order. Each book can stand-a-lone and gives a little tast of the authors writing and the wolves of Black Hills.Wolf’s Song is an insta-love, so the story is quick with very little substances or conflict, but that is what we get with insta-loves. I enjoyed this novella. It was a nice, sweet, and quick romance. The story is endearing and I like that Summer and [...]

They are destined mates but war between his former wolf pack and her feline shifter clan threatens to tear Brick and Summer apart in this captivating paranormal romance. The well written scenes and details draw the reader in and the strong compelling characters ensure that the reader wants to know their whole story and while the story is short and the romance is sweet the story starts with excitement and ends with a spectacular happy conclusion.“Copyright Night Owl Reviews” ©See my full rev [...]

I know I haven't been writing reviews lately, but I'm uber busy and I'm power reading this series for a certain reason. I am writing a review for this one because I wanted to make a note that there is NO cheating in this book. cheating is a trigger for me, a big one, but I read no cheating in this book at all. This is one of my favorites in the series so far. It was very unique and the original concept was refreshing to be honest. Highly recommend!

Free book for honest review. juliesbookreviewBarely 18 years old and with a head full of visions and lupine voices Brick Northridge feels driven to challenge the greedy an cruel Alpha of his pack. But lacking the muscle and massive bulk that is commonly required to take out a mature, powerful creature with decades of experience, Brick was quickly taken down by the leader. Beaten by the Alpha's thugs and exiled from the pack he is left to live his life alone in a mountain cabin in the black Hills [...]

First I love werewolves. I have not read the other books of this series, but this is a sweet, short, and fun read with excellent adventure and a quick plot. Brick is 18 when we meet him, he's scrawny and is BFFs with a werebear who owns a bar where he lives. His alpha sucks, can we just say that. And one day, even though he knows he'll probably die from it, he won't take his alpha's crap anymore. And then he literally gets beaten and shoved out on his own. His bear friend takes him to a cabin in [...]

I love Wolf's Song. I was hooked from the beginning and didn't want it to end. It is refreshingly different from all the wolf shifter books I've read, and I've read a lot. Skinwalker Summer McCoy lives with a feline shifter clan who is nearing war with the Black Hills wolves. In her guise as a raven, she watches the lone wolf Brick from afar. Brick was banished from the pack for challenging the Alpha, and in the beginning he is so beaten and low spirited he almost loses the will to live. Summer [...]

The book Wolf's Song by Taryn Kincaid deals with a wolf that is coming into adulthood and embarking upon a true relationship! Kincaid takes the reader on a journey of lust, seduction and love. The author vividly expresses the lust of the wolf as well as the fragility of his lover. Kincaid has a way of stroking the unseen and giving her readers much more than they apparently set out for.Although this story was short it was very intriguing, and that added to my enjoyment of reading it. Nothing tha [...]

It keeps you wondering what will happen next.My favorite character is Brick. He is a strong character. He is a fighter for what he wants. Brick is also funny to me. Brick is also very loving with his mate. This book has ups and downs along the way. I hope you enjoy this book too.

3½☆I love shifter romances and gobble them up at every chance I get. I loved the unlikely connection between Brick, a wolf shifter, and Summer, a skinwalker who belongs to the feline clan but can take any form she chooses, and her preferred form is a raven. When the pair first "meet", Summer is perched high on a treetop as she takes in the younger version of a beaten and bedraggled Brick. Attempting to move him out of a prone stupor, she begins dropping shiny bobbles on his porch -- sort of " [...]

First off, I'm a sucker for werewolves. I like them surly. I like them crazed. I like when they take their clothes off and go all naked on us. So, you know, that part definitely worked for me. Because #NakedWerewolves. As it turns out, I also like when plucky skinwalkers find a way to drag said crazed werewolf out of their funk and bring them around to living again all without ever having any face-to-face interactions. I think that speaks well to Summer's ability to deal with anything unexpected [...]

I fell in love with Summer on the first page of Chapter 1. She is funny, determined and full of life. A skinwalker who prefers the form of a Raven to that of her natural cougar. The Raven that suits her better and gives her more freedom.Brick on the other hand seems to have lost all of his fight after his ill-fated challenge of the Alpha. Brought to this isolated cabin by Gee, his friend and a bear shifter, to heal both body and mind he doesn’t seem to want to do either. Until Summer takes thi [...]

This great new book by Taryn Kincaid is part of a werewolf series by multiple authors. Good character development and yummy protagonist. Taryn adds her own twists to the werewolf canon without straying so far as to be distracting. Although a seasoned author in paranormal fiction, this is Taryn's first foray into werewolves and I hope not her last.

This book starts out a bit vaguely; there is plenty of action, some confrontation that is great but without knowing who is who I cannot decide whom I’m routing for or even what they’re really fighting about. This is frustrating to me – as an avid reader who generally has no trouble reading between the lines, I am not used to guessing games at this level. To be fair though, I see this is Book 4 and **I was given this book in exchange for honest review** without any discussion or knowledge o [...]

I enjoyed this story very much, except it left me with several questions. Maybe that's to lead me into a future story, or maybe they'll never be answered - I don't like the possibility they might not be answered. The story between Brick and Summer is endearing and I enjoyed their finding each other.(view spoiler)[ My remaining questions What does Drew do about Brick's alpha? Is the war between cats and wolves resolved or is it still a possibility? (hide spoiler)]

I loved how Summer and Brick became friends and mates. I liked the plot but felt that the turmoil between the feline shifters and the wolf pack was completely glossed over and it was a bit of a letdown. WOLF'S SONG is a great for a quick paranormal romance fix but I wished it were longer! Reviewed by Elizabeth for Cocktails and Books
