This book took me a bit to get into, though I'm not overly sure why. It back-tracks a bit at the beginning. You start off with Beverly, then go back a ways to learn the backstory of Dandelion. Then the sort of meet in the middle. It makes sense as you're reading it, but I think I had difficulty because it was like starting two books in one, if that makes sense. I did like that you learned a lot more about why Beverly was the way she was and that it didn't go over everything you learned about her [...]

What a wonderful story! My but the conflict & problems rose at every turn. I held my breath till the end hoping all would be well. This story held so many emotions! I would definitely recommend reading book 1 before this one. Book 2 shines a light on to things learned in book 1. Can't wait to read book 3.

Bride of Fae is actually the second book in the series but I have been told that the plot actually takes place before book one. In other words, it is a prequel. I can tell you that I had a heck of a time putting this book down! I read it on my iPod in about three hours. L.K. Rigel has a masterful way of describing fairies and the world they live in. This story actually bounces between the human realm and the fae realm. Fairies come into the human realm on what we call Halloween where they play t [...]

What a magical tale! I absolutely loved the first book in this series and was so glad to see a second book in the works. Let me just say that Happy Dances were witnessed at my house the day this was first emailed to me as an ARC. This book is not truly a prequel to Give Me, nor is it a sequel. Without giving away too many spoilers, it is intertwined within Give me. That being said, you could easily read it without having read Give me, but I think reading Give Me first will add to your reading ex [...]

Once again Rigel manages to weave a story throughout different time periods in a way that draws the reader in. The first book in the series, Give Me: A Tale of Wyrd and Fae, takes place mostly in the "real" world, and although fae play a part in that story, none of the main characters are full blooded fae. This book has a much larger focus on the realm of Faerie and one of the main characters is Dandelion, the exiled fae prince. I's also the story of Beverly, Cade's mother from Give Me: A Tale [...]

Bride of Fey by LK RigelRating 4****This book was provided free from the author in exchange for honest literary review. Wow what a novel! Where to begin. Beverly is so special. Giving up her education after her parents death, she took on the task of raising her sister. Working in a bar she makes enough to get them by with little else to show for it. Things become weird when some friends from college show up investigating some stories about a supernatural tree.Once Beverly enters the Fey realm by [...]

I loved this book! I read Give Me, the first book in the Tether series, and fell in love with LK Rigel's mash up of present day life and the enchanting magic of a fairytale. Therefore, I have been waiting with bated breath for the release of Bride of Fae. I must say it exceeded all of my expectations by far. It is a beautifully written story of love and loss and magic and legend. Lk Rigel weaves a captivating story of a young woman whose life is full of tragedy yet through a chance of fate is gr [...]

When I was given the opportunity to review this book, I wondered if I could do it justice since I haven't had the opportunity to read the first in the series. However, worry not my friends Bride of Fae can stand alone! It was a quick read that you can't put down once you start. Beverly has her own dreams and plans to get away to the bustle of London and doesn't plan to come back home to the sleepy town that her family lives in. Life changes drastically when her parents are killed in a car accide [...]

L.K. Rigel writes a compelling page-turner with her newest book, Bride of Fae. She divulges just the right amount of information to keep the reader searching for one more answer. The story moves quickly but you just never know what is going to happen. Up until the end you will be surprised by the twists and turns in the story. I love books that won't let me put them down. The characters are complex and attractive. The love affair between Prince Dandelion and Beverly is what every woman would want [...]

I liked the first book, but this one tops it! How I loved it, I read it in one breath. Beverly is a girl that has a nice life, taking care of her younger sister Marion and a fun job at the Tragic Fall Inn. She is a believer in Paranormal and is convinced an angel is watching over her.A fairy charm sets her back in time about a hundred years and she meets the banished prince her life changes drastically. We learn about the regent of Dumnos Fae who bring it slowly into the dark and nothing Prince D [...]

Lisa's review of Bride of Fae (Tethers, Book 2)By Lk RigelI was given a copy of Bride of Fae by Lk Rigel in exchange for an honest review.  What a fantastic book.  Unfortunately I have not read book 1 yet Give Me but luckily it was not needed in order to keep up with this magical tale.  What one of us didn't grow up listening to stories about faries, Wyrds and Goblins.  They all tell us that humans and the magical worlds cannot mix but somehow it seems to work.  The building of the chara [...]

Fae, Goblins and humans all come together in one book to help the rightful heir become King or maybe Queen. This was my first time reading a book of Fae and Goblins. I really did enjoy learning about Fae and Wyrds and what each of them can do with their magic. Beverly was living the safe life, nothing exciting but nothing too horrible until one day she made a wish near a magic tree. She then went back 100 years into a world full of Fae and goblins. While there she meets Dandelion, who is very ha [...]

I received this book in exchange for a honest review ~WaAr~Adult content+18Bride of Fae by LK RigelBride of Fae is the second book in the Tether series by Rigel. I honestly love the second book better than the first one. You have to read these in order or you will spoil the surprise from this one. This book unlocked secrets of the characters from Give Me and others you find out how they came to be in the first one. It was a great story and adventure. I loved the ending of this book and hoping to [...]

First, let me say, I rarely like sequels, books or movies. At first, I thought it was difficult to get into the book and understand what was happening. I was expecting this book to be like the last, but it wasn't. This book took me here and there with the story, and like a beautiful rose, slowly opened and fulfilled my hope and expectation. The drawing in of the first book really made you relate to the story line and feel Beverly’s pain and joy. One surprise after another occurs in this book, [...]

I would give this 3.5 stars because while I enjoyed it, there were places that it lagged. This is the second in a series though the action takes place prior to the events in the first book.Having read the first book it took me a while to reconcile what was happening here because the threads were pulled in several directions. Beverly is the mother of the heir of Dumnos, she is a simple woman who marries an Earl not for love but for the sake of a legacy. The love of her life is a faerie by the nam [...]

What can I say but I Loved, Loved, Loved it! You definitely should read "Give Metales of wyrd and fae" first to get a better understanding of the characters. I do believe that L.K. Rigel may be Fae herself the way she brought their world to light. If you're looking for sugar plum fairies and all the sweetness that goes with it this is not your book, if you love the way they say the real fae can be cruel and tricky, and sometimes nice, then this is the book for you! I will definitely be reading m [...]

Even better than Give Me (the first book in the Tethers series), Bride of Fae includes such wonderful, detailed descriptions of the scenery. The changes in timeline are easier to follow than in Give Me. The costumes are vivid and colorful, beautifully suited to the world of the fae. There is more sex than in any of L.K.'s books to date, but the amount is just right and fits the circumstances. After all, this is faeworld!Over all, L.K.'s writing just gets better and better. If you like Give Me, y [...]

What a great story! I really enjoyed Beverly and her adventures with the Fae of Dumnos. I didn't realize how closely the story would be tied with Give Me, the faerie tale L.K. Rigel published last year. If you are planning to read Bride of Fae, I recommend also reading Give Me- otherwise there are a few places where the story may seem confusing. Bride of Fae is entertaining, fun, and quick to read. I loved the characters who were introduced, and enjoyed visiting with old "friends" from the previ [...]

Everything I'd hoped for and more! After reading Give Me – A Tale of Wyrd and Fae and loving it, I really looked forward to the release of Bride of Fae. I wasn't disappointed. This second book in the Tether series is simply awesome and I devoured it. It's even better than the first one, incorporating that story into the weave of enchantment that shines in Bride. Mischief Night is bigger and better than ever as the author takes it to London and shines a spotlight on the Fae and their troublesom [...]

What a disappointment. I really liked her Apocalyto series but this one was just drivel and not even good, relax-your-mind drivel. The previous book was better - this one was just terrible. I didn't like any of the characters and stuff was just happening. The ending was roll your eyes ridiculous. I'm sorry I paid for this book.

This was a beautifully written book, after reading the first in the series, Give Me, I was more than excited for this one to come out. L.k. Rigel has the ability to transport you to another world with her writing, she paints such vivid pictures. I would recommend this book to anyone. Well done L.k, you had me in tears at the end of the book.

Unfair To RateThis book made no sense to me as I have not read the previous TWO. With that saild, I would have given the book 2 points because it made no sense to me. I must be fair but for now, 2 points as I have started a series by reading 3rd sometimes 4th books by various authors and they made perfect sense

A good follow on in The Tethers series. Actually the two books could have been merged into one novel which would have been even better. We learn of Lily's origin (the lead female in book one) and this would have worked well in the merged books. Apparently there are going to be more installments in this series and I look forward to reading them.

This book was better than the first one in the series, if I could, I'd give it 4 1/2 stars. There were still some errors in the grammar and missing words as well, but the storyline was definitely clearer. I can't wait to read the next one once it's out. I received a copy of this book from Promotional Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.

I think the author had some good things going, nice characters, interesting plot, but this book was weird as a sequel, since it was mainly a prequel with the last couple chapters following the events if the 1st book. Over a all it was ok, felt messy and disjointed.
