This was such a beautiful story. Its told in such a way that you feel each emotion for Ava and for the relationship that she has with Wash. Such a tender evocative read. Ava has a gift, its both a blessing and a curse. Like with anything, people can take advantage of your generosity with no respect to you, yourself or your health. There is so much feeling in between the lines of this story, I just adored it.My thanks to Harlequin (UK) Limited via Net Galley for my copy

Sometimes a book comes along which is just, for want of a better word, beautiful. There is something about Ava’s Gift which makes it eligible for this category. Could it be the stunning writing? Maybe. Could it be the unusual and quirky tale of a teenage girl who can heal people? Quite possibly. However, it is very difficult to quantify just what makes this book so good. With Ava’s Gift, Jason Mott has created a quiet but powerful novel which examines how celebrity and sensationalism can rock [...]

This is a beautifully written story. Ava's gift is a blessing and a curse as her gift can save and help people but also brings hundreds of people flocking to the small town that she lives in and are demanding of her gift no matter what the cost to Ava's health. The thing that really struck me was the very strong bond of friendship that Ava and Wash have. The friendship is very moving and the author does a great job of making you get attached to quite a few of the characters. Will certainly be ma [...]

This was not quite the sort of book I normally read - a little on the wrong side of chick-lit/pulling on the heart-strings for me. But I wanted to read it having watched & enjoyed the first series of The Returned. I guess I enjoyed it enough to finish it, but the end was rather predictable.
