Spitfire Pixie meets Broody Beefcake in a sizzling battle of wills.Harlan Granger is returning home after surviving a horrific accident on his tour of duty in Afghanistan. His home town of Bluff’s Corner, Colorado, has been ravaged by flood and his childhood home is no exception. Most of his family have moved away, or are out of town. This suits him just fine. He plans to hide away with the one brother who won’t ask questions. Problem is, when he walks into his brother’s bar he meets Rilie [...]

I enjoyed this story. The author did a great job creating three flawed yet likable characters. I appreciate the strength written into Rilie’s character. Harlan is written well as a strong, reserved hero who puts everyone before himself. Larry was a great balance to the other two characters and I enjoyed the sibling dynamic between him and Harlan. This is not a love triangle in the traditional sense, but you will fall in love with all three characters. There is an attention to detail in the wri [...]

Harlan’s Haven was a very enjoyable read for me. The more I read, the more I didn’t want to stop reading. What I loved is how you get to know the main characters slowly throughout the story rather than right at the beginning. It was entertaining not knowing who was being watched by strangers and why, and the further going into the story, the faster I wanted to read to find the answers to the mystery. I love a story that builds from chapter to chapter as you try to figure out how it’s all g [...]

I received a copy for honest review. For all of those who love contemporary romance, this one is right up your alley. The hero is complex and on a timer when it comes to his health at the beginning of the story, and it really adds something to the romance. The heroine is also a high point for me. She's spunky and genuine. The author did indeed write two people who were perfect for each other if they can only get past all their own hang ups and problems. Very good read.

It's been a while since I've read a Romance Novel I was given a copy of Harlan's Haven in exchange for an honest review, and I'm glad I read it. I loved the characters. Men like Harlan, handsome and brooding, still gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Rilie is a woman that you can easily relate to, beautiful and strong and Larry would be the brother you've always wanted to have. There is also a tinge of suspense as criminal elements threaten the lives and business of Larry and Rilie. The story [...]
