The definition of alpha male: Garret RuleThankfully he's met his match in Maria Alvarez. Seriously if there was ever an alpha woman she's it."I'm not sure you understand what happens to women who make empty threats-"She lifted her chin and glared."I'm not sure you understand what happens when men let their cocks do the talking for them in the work place-"******************************************************Now as a wave of anger seemed to grip him, he leaned down until his was mouth at her ear [...]

4.5 stars!! Holy Molars!! This was so freaking fun! Garrett was a fantastic OTT alpha -- loved it. Maria was an awesome chick who gave him a run for his money! heheAfter looking at reviews for all of Chance's other books, ALL of the heroes sound like manwhores, but I gotta say, I might be able to deal if they are all as good as this one!! :-DThank you to Soonya for recommendation!Manwhore info: Honestly, it wasn't really clear how much of a player he had been in the past. I suspect he was a fair [...]

**3.25 Stars**I love how obsessed Garrett was but something was missing for met sure what it was. Maybe I didn't feel he really loved her, maybe it was because he seemed so damn angry and didn't want to want her. IDKI just can't put my finger on it.Loved the epilogue though!

4.25 stars! Garrett is my favorite! love him and his crazy, alpha, maniac, possessive, sexy ways!!!!I really enjoy him:D lol Maria was awesome too. She was feisty and didn't let herself, but at times for me it got on my I was happy when Garrett said enough of this shit haha. I was like hell yeah you get her Garrett or come have me:D safety gang safe.

DNF on this one. I usually like Lynda Chance, but I detested the heroine so incredibly much on this one I just couldn't finish it. I might be in a slump with mean bitchy heroines, but this one I just couldn't keep reading about. So, on to the next book, and will continue to read Lynda Chance, but I sincerely hope the next heroine can be strong without being completely bitchy.

Hot cover that I can say about this book.Pretty bad, the first half is all hate-hate-hate. Even the sex was hate-sex. The second half was harlequin style romance. It was as if two people wrote this short story. I did not like Maria in the first half of the book, so it ruined the story for me.

Lynda Chance is one of my favorites and this books proves why! Garrett is my favorite Rule brother and i loved everything about him in this book! He was hot, possessive, faithful, passionate and just pure Alpha Male( which is typical for Lynda Chance and one of the reasons I love her books so much). And Maria was a nice surprise, because she was feisty and they made an amazing couple. The sexual tension and chemistry was of the charts! It is in my opinion one of the hottest books Lynda has writt [...]

Amazing read. I love how alpha male and intimidating the Rule brothers are. They're intensity is addicting. I can't wait to read Erin's story.

The third in the House of Rule series features Maria and Garrett - he’s been intrigued with Maria since he heard her voice and he must have her, natch. Maria’s not thrilled the Rule Corporation has purchased her hotel. Sparks fly and crazy, dysfunctional romance happens. The Good, The Bad and Everything In BetweenGarrett, oh Garrett, you rode the line of alpha-hole pretty well. He’s a blend of Damian (who I loathed) and Nick (who I liked), the two earlier heroes. He’s obsessed with Maria, [...]

2.5 stars. Rounding up because it was an easy, angst free read.I really didn't enjoy the first half of this book. I was expecting a crazy alpha male who knew what he wanted and went after it. I didn't really get that. I mean, he was obsessed with getting her into bed but that's all he wanted and I didn't even feel like he even tried that hard. I don't like when the hero just wants to have sex with the heroine to get her out of his system. I want insta-LOVE! Also he was pissed off that he wanted [...]

It's so refreshing to read another Lynda Chance book after having to read a pile of dark erotica novels these past few days. Lovin' this series so far! I disliked Nick's story, but this book made my heart smile. Garrett Rule is the epitome of Alpha Fucking Male, and I loved Maria's ridiculously badass attitude. I soooo love Lynda Chance when it comes to the hotness overload of her OTT possessive alpha males. I just wish this one was longer though. I can't seem to get enough of these Rule men!

My favorite Rule! Lynda Chance is a guilty pleasure read. You know her alphas could have set us back 50 thousand years with their brand of primitive possessiveness but I love it! Garrett Rule gets a hard on just from listening to Maria's voice. Maria manages one of Garrett's hotels and he had never met her. Imagine when he does. The build up and the sexual tension was off the charts. See, Maria tries her best to slap Garrett with a sexual harassment lawsuit at every turn and at first it was fun, [...]

Unfortunately, I am stopping at the 75% mark.I just couldn't get into this book and have been skimming much of it.Yes, Lynda Chance writes about over the top alpha men but for me, Garrett stepped over the line with (view spoiler)[workplace sexual harassment (hide spoiler)]. There really are no other words for what he did. Perhaps I am being overly sensitive about this. Who knows? Regardless, it's spoiled my enjoyment of the book and Garrett is someone I just don't want to read about.

Lynda Chance knows how to do alpha. Garrett was OTT possessive of Maria. Maria pushed back at first, not wanting to fall for him. Initially, I didn't feel like there was any romance, but once Maria let her guard down things started to progress between the couple. The Rule fellas are a handful that is for sure. Up next in their baby sister Erin's story.

My guilty pleasure (and its not a secret)!! Lynda is back on form with her Alpha, bossy and dominant hero Garrett!! He is OTT and wants Maria - nothing will stand in his way not even Maria herself. Sparks fly as Maria is strong, stands her ground and doesn't hand herself on a plate to Garrett!!

It was pretty short and I didn't feel an emotional connection between the characters. They both thought the other person was hot. That was about it.

I am a Lynda Chance super fan. It hurts me to give this such a low rating. I will get straight to the point, the h was absolutely awful. She was a total b!%@$. She had no redeeming qualities. The h, Maria, was the same person who in the previous book was intentionally making things difficult for Courtney in the previous book. We find out in this story that Maria had acted out bc she was upset that Courtney got the job that she felt was rightfully hers. In this book, Maria is described as someone [...]

5+ addictive stars! As usual, reading a Lynda Chance book is a great experience, she delivers great alpha characters and the heroines are always likeable, but in this particular book, we have the stron sexy qlpha and we have a strong kickass heroine.Garrett Rule is dominant, billionaire and hot as hell, used to get any woman he wants, but he's obsessed with Maria alvarez, well not exactly with her but with her voice, since he's never seen the woman in person.  Maria is used to men attention, but [...]

Hmm . . Over the top bossy Garrett. . He didn't overthrow brother Damian but surpassed Nick in the alpha Rule category. . . in my opinion of course. Some readers are going to think he skirted consent a couple of times because G came across incredibly intense and Marie, the heroine blew hot and cold. I had a tough time pinning her emotions down even at the end. She seemed aggressively not interested in G one moment and then passively accepting and accessible in the next. It became a case of the l [...]

Another book in this series that I'm not crazy about. Too much anger on both sides, and that's before and just when they met. I felt like it was contrived and they didn't have that much history together to begin with to have that much anger against each other. Liked the epilogue though.

    23. Sian on said:

It's a good book but it takes me a week to finished it I always stop and asked myself if I have to continue or not. I tried to understand the characters feelings and predict it was hard to think while their relationship has a few problem.

Yum, yum -who ordered the obsessive alpha male? Because this is one focused guy, and even though he doesn't close the deal until well into the book, his dealing with the situation pulls the book along.Loved this man, even before he saw her, and only had knew her voice, he was dreaming about her. When he finally met her, he could barely contain himself! The entire book is basically him trying to wrangle control, lose control, back up and start all over again. Even after he thinks everything is wo [...]

Lynda Chance's heroes are always over the top alphas who, if you met in real life, you would go running in the other direction! That said, I still enjoy her books and get a guilty thrill reading them. The heroine in this novel is also a bit of an self-assertive A-hole, and if someone acted like she did in a business environment, they would be out the door immediately. A lot of reviewers hated her and their ratings show it.People read Lynda Chance not for great literature, but for the fantasy of [...]
