OMG NINA HAS DONE IT AGAIN. She can write about paranormal and she can write intrigue and now she wrote erotica. But not just any old erotica, Nina took it one step further and wrote historical erotica. The story is about Maggie a young naïve girl who was raised in a convent where she was raised to think of sex as a way to procreate. You have to remember this is the 1680s. Enter the Duke of Dunwoody who basically inherited her when she was younger . Fast forward a few years as a voyeuristic Magg [...]

This book is erotica BUT is also a satisfying love story. Nina Mason is brilliant at bringing detail in to a book. Keep in mind the period of time this is set in—1680, the Restoration period in the British Isles, where the story is set. Maggie, the heroine, was raised in a convent, where she was taught sex is for procreation only. Enjoyment of the Holy Act of Creation, as the sisters called coitus, is a sin punishable by death in the childbed. These teachings war with her awakening feelings fo [...]

I am so glad I got burnt out on the paranormal stuff & decided to make my Christmas a slightly naughty one! I couldn't put this book down I read it twice before I could pull myself away to write this review.Maggie is bored with the mindless tasks to pass the time as all good girls should be happily appeased with. This leads to her stumbling (very stealthy I might add) across something her innocent eyes should have never been party to until her marriage night. Even then in times like those it [...]

Wow, hot, hot, hot! The Devil in Duke's Clothing is an erotic tale, set during the reign of King Charles II, and, as usual, Nina Mason has done her research well. Convent bred Maggie has a startling introduction to, not just sex but it's darker aspects also, when overseeing a scene definitely not meant for her. This starts her imagination going, and her fascination with Robert, the Duke of Dunwoody, whose ward she is. As she grows slightly older, Robert decides they will be married. Maggie, havi [...]

I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for Devil in Duke's Clothing. It's the first historical erotic romance I've read, but definitely won't be the last. It tells the story of virginal Maggie who gets married to Robert, the Duke of Dunwoody. At, the beginning, she is very naive and throughout the story, she matures quickly and has to learn the ways of their world. Maggie and Robert are both very likeable, relatable characters. It has a great story and is very hot! I can't wait to buy this book [...]

Wow i dont think i have ever read something like this. The history in this story was very interesting, I fell in love with Maggie and Robert from the beginning, Maggie is a convent bred ward of the Duke, Robert the dark and dangerous Devil shows Maggie just how sensual the marital act can be. Nina has an amazing way of making you feel like you are right there in the book feeling everything the characters felt. This is a must read book cant wait for book 2

This book is ONLY for open minded mature adults who can handle explicit and graphic, intimate adult situations. It does not take long before the adult action begins and as each page turns the scenes get hotter and hotter. The sexual activities are well explained and I received quite the education. It felt voyeuristic.Maggie York enters into a marriage she knows she is unprepared for, not only because she feels she has no other choice, but also because she is fascinated by the duke of Dunwoody, his [...]

The Devil in Duke's Clothing is a delightfully naughty lesson in historical erotica. A dashing rogue of a main character makes you love him while always wondering what his next move will be. Our heroine is naive to the ways of the human form but nether stirrings has her fantasizing lustily after the older and more experienced Duke. Tastefully written and imaginatively illustrated through terms of the time, Mason delivers on every possible desire you may acquire while reading about the things tha [...]

Nina Mason can weave a tale like no other. The depth of her research shows in her work. Devil in Duke's Clothing is no different. The Duke has many dark secrets (they're not secrets when everyone knows about them, or should we call them hungers,he's spent years building a reputation as a degenerate. There's only one woman he wants though. When he marries Maggie she fears his secret life and what that could or could not mean for her and the affection she feels for him. Will Maggie be everything he [...]

Superbly well written, thoroughly fascinating, an all-around great story, and definitely not what I expected. Not only that, but I don't think I’ve been more educated with so many proper terms as to the anatomy of the umh… human body. Now, how to remember that for future reference?Lately, when I read “erotic” I tend to roll my eyes because it seems the trend is the Dom/sub relationship. I’m not criticizing the genre; heck! I haven’t even tried reading it yet. The thing is that I love [...]

Nina chose me to be one of her Beta readers for the first book in her trilogy about Maggie York and Robert Armstrong, Duke of Dunwoody. The Devil in Duke's Clothing is set in 17th Century Scotland. A time when political unrest was rife, and if you were Catholic, and a woman, you had no protection. Maggie has always been infatuated with Robert since she was brought to Balloch Castle as a companion for his sister. She knows his sexual practices are anything but "normal", especially after watching [...]

DEVIL IN DUKE’S CLOTHING is historical erotica, if not exactly what I expected, it is however splendid. Maggie York is an innocent young woman who agrees to marry the somewhat older Robert Armstrong, Duke of Dunwoody. Maggie consents to the marriage partly because she has no one else to turn to, but also because Robert fascinates her, and he promises to further her education. In more ways than one, it turns out; Robert’s sexual practises are not precisely conventional, especially in 1678 Sco [...]

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book for a blog tour and my honest review.Wow, did Ms. Mason bring it. It's a historical romance, but it's smokin' hot.Maggie has been a ward of the Duke of Dunwoody's since she was just a wee lass, was a companion to the Duke's daughter. Alas the daughter died when she was young, but the Duke kept her around. Robert the Dukes heir apparent had a little bit of a crush on young Maggie so he tried to stay far far away whilst she was finishing growing up. [...]

It's a fabulous love story set in the British Isles in 1680 and you can tell straight away how much work has gone into the book by the author to get every little detail correct of the times. Our heroine Maggie has been brought up in a convent, that is until she goes to live with the Duke of Dunwoody as his ward he has basically inherited her. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.I enjoyed this story. This was a well researched historical with a dark, erotic twist, which was new to me. I enjoyed the story of Maggie and Robert. It was an endearing tale. Maggie grew up in a convent before she came to Robert's home under the care of his family, so she is very naive to many things. At times, I found her naivete cute, a little humorous at times. But despite this, the story is hot and intriguing. It took me a few [...]

Nina has spun erotically sensual literary gold with this story! This book drew me in from the first voyeuristic moments we meet Maggie until the words The End Maggie and her sexual maturation are very poignant realistic development of a character. great read, much anticipated!Ah ha!!! Dukes, and Monarchs in high heels!! Dressy fussy Dukes, and peers of the scottish realm abound with the current reigning Monarch, Charles Stuart II. I liked the religious slant in this book, it gave an air of mystery, when, at the end, we do find out why, and how, the young Heroine ended up at the convent so young. Very well worth reading. I do much prefer my Scottish men kilted, as did the hero in this book prefer his kilt to courtly fussy men's wear. ;-)

This isn't simply an erotic story. It's a wonderful love story and any woman can only hope to have her virginity taken with such care. Maggie and Robert are such a loving and caring couple. The story starts out like many other historical romance books I've read, but quickly slides into the most erotic historical book I've ever read. The hero has certain proclivities that our heroine, Maggie, already knows about. You see the Duke of Dunwoody, the deviate, is Maggie's guardian. She has resided in his household for many years. She tries her best not to fall for him. His brother has even warned her away from him, but a chance encounter witnessed by Maggie between the duke and her maid, [...]
