God, men who don't talk and just freaking assume, then cut off all communication for weeks on end. Ugh. Shoot me already.Wyatt and Bryce were very likable characters and the author did a good job of fleshing them out, but the miscommunications and holding back from talking things out left the story feeling a bit cliché.This short story had a lot of potential to take things to a higher level than what it actually did, so the short story was a 3 star read for me.My copy of this short story was pr [...]

I liked the idea of this book and i liked the blurb that's why i bought it (on pre order sale) but this story was to short, there is no character development and a lot of questions are (in my opinion) not answered. There is lot of talk in the book about things that really don't matter and the author should have used that space to write about the characters and their feelings, emotions etc.

2 Heart Review by AmberHmmm….well, there isn’t much that really worked for me here, to be honest. I don’t really mind miscommunication but NO communication at all? That I did not get, not at all.Wyatt is suffering from a major case of writers block. Having recently gotten back from his successful country music tour he finds himself chasing that next big hit song. The big difference this time around is he’s in the throes of unrequited love for his best friend/keyboardist.Having never been [...]

Well, that was frustrating. I was quite enjoying this short story from Wyatt’s POV as he struggles to find inspiration for his new album. He’s an openly gay country star who fell in love with a man he can’t have. Aww. Then we meet Bryce, who was a musician on his last tour and comes around to help with the writer’s block. He also happens to be who Wyatt is in love with. They, for some reason, end up on a camping trip and talk about things, which is all good and cute and enjoyable. Then th [...]

Wyatt is a successful country music star who has harbored a serious crush on his band mate, Bryce. They spent six great months on tour together and grew very close. However, Wyatt is sure his good friend is as straight as an arrow and would never return his feelings. Because of this, Wyatt has been suffering from writer's block. His manager and the record company are frantic desperate, so they enlist Bryce's help to cheer Wyatt up and inspire him. What happens next neither man could have imagine [...]

Wyatt is the first openly gay country singer to make it big. His first album and subsequent tour were a huge success. Now he can't find the joy in the music. Mostly because he fell in love with one of his band mates, Bryce, but never had to courage to say it out loud, thinking Bryce is straight. But Bryce has been struggling with his feelings for Wyatt as well, they've just never actually sat down and talked about it. When they finally do you would think they'd ride off into the sunset and make [...]

Read the full review on Bookaholics Not-So-Anonymous.Note: This ARC was provided by Less Than Three Press in exchange for an honest review. There's a saying that goes "Don't assume. It makes and 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'," and that's exactly the case in this short novella. Both Wyatt and Bryce make assumptions that lead to a heck of unneeded heartache and feelings of abandonment, either of which the two could have been spared had they simply spoken up and talked about their doubts and reservation [...]

This started out as a cute fast read then at 70% what Wyatt did was a jerk move. After that there was just not enough time to redeem himself and I have to be honest when I say not a huge fan of everything being forgiven in books with out the person who did the wrong actually working for it. So all I ended up feeling at the end of this novella is that Bryce could do better for himself. I would like to say I loved this novella but there was a misunderstanding that made Wyatt look like a huge jerk [...]

This short story piqued my interest with the synopsis but the leads had too few scenes together to tell a good romance. The set-up is romance gold and I had high hopes when the leads go camping together. However, instead of talking to each other, most of this scene is taken up by one lead telling a ghost story. Then the leads don’t spend any more of the short story together until right at the very end. Then the beginning is told third person from one lead’s POV and the end, third person from [...]

This is a story of what happens when you don't talk things out. Bryce and Wyatt have feelings for each other, but neither say anything. Wyatt is having a severe case of writer's block and Bryce is his cure. The interaction between the two is fun. They start off as friends, but because of a lack of communication they almost throw it all away. There was a scene that was a bit wonky dealing with the supernatural it didn't fit in with the story. The rating system doesn't give half stars, so I would [...]

Reviewed for Prism Book Alliance 3.75stars Notch in Your Belt is a fairly straight-forward friends-to-lovers story, with a bit of a gay-for-you twist. Wyatt and Bryce are secretly in love with each other. The only problem? Bryce is straight. For Complete review see Prism Book Alliance: prismbookalliance/?pos

Pure fanfic. The lack of depth screams that this isn't meant to be read any other way. I love the idea of two men falling in love on tour and being too afraid to actually talk it out but this story just takes the premise too far without any substance to back it up.

This book was way too short for my liking, there was no real plot to grip your attention. No character development what so ever, the whole scary woods scene was just blah.
