This book portrays a fictional story about three young kids during WWII. It was a fun book and is a good way for children to learn about history. I would recommend this book to kids who are interested in history.

Loved the sequel as a child and so was overjoyed to recently unearth this in a bargain bin. Simple and uncomplicated but well paced and believeable, it was a joy I look forward to sharing with my children soon!

I think this was a book I read in 4th or 5th grade. Will have to track down a copy and check.[Edit 03/17: This is definitely the book I had. Will reread it sooner or later.]

This was the very first book that I ever read cover to cover. I enjoyed the book back in 1982 or so.
