Can't wait for the third one!Loved it. Impossibly more than the first one, Janney just keeps opening more paths in which this story could go, and still manages to keep the focus of the story brilliantly entertaining!

This book was definitely better, more action and pretty up the ante. I liked the intricate details on the characters and stuff. Great and excellent book. Can't wait for the next book in series.

These books will be the death of me. I've read the first two books in a span of about 24 hrs. And it looks like I have 4 more books ahead. That would be so bad if not for the lack a cathartic release I feel at the end. there really isn't one. your still waiting for more answers it keeps you reading but I'm just exhausted reading them. I just want to put them down and walk away. But it isn't in me. hopefully I won't have to wait 4 books for this dipshit to make some good moves. like just being duc [...]

This was actually a pretty good followup: additional characters, the plot gains more traction, and the writing is much crisper/smoother throughout. Plausible character death (though I find this doubtful, especially with the actual ending.), and "Odd alliances" form, with enough question marks left to keep you curious for the impending sequel. Well worth the read (A greater focus on action, and less on the football "Page-filler" also helped, though I'm hoping the religious undertones don't become [...]

Another fun read by Janney- I'm enjoying the story so far, and am interested to see what happens with Chase and the other Infected in book three.

3,5 stars. This one was actually quite a bit better than its prequel. It wasn't as predictable, though the identitiy of the shooter was so obvious even the shooter itself made fun of our MC for not realizing it sooner. But, I repeat, oblivious MC is oblivious. That doesn't mean he's dumb, actually he is clever and resourceful. Just not with people. And frankly, it is amusing to watch him be dumbfounded. The football aspect of the whole story was much less this book around, while the action and sup [...]

The Young Adult genre is not something that I read regularly but the authors style pulls you in and you forget any trepidation.

SUCH A GOOD BOOK! Crazy awesome suspense and action while Chase still struggles with his double identities and love life! I loved it so much! A book you cannot put down!

Great story, and the author's narration was excellent. Waiting for Book #3!

I really enjoyed this book, probably more than the first one. The writing style just draws me into the story and really makes me relate to the characters. I would definitely recommend this series.

The Outlaw lives!Great sequel. The story continues with our hero learning more about his origins. Lots of action and new abilities. The evil mastermind is discovered but the Outlaw is not able to put him down.

A solid second book to the seriesThe readers get to witness the ongoing development of the Outlaw, how he continues to cope and grow with his abilities. The first book was a bit overbearing on the love rectangle between Chase and Hannah, Chase/Outlaw and Katie, and Outlaw and Natalie North. There is certainly a bunch there but it's toned down and we see how each relationship continues. There is a lot more focus on the Infected and Outlaw.I didn't give it five stars because the religion angle felt [...]

Amazing. somehow Alan Janney has managed to top his first book and make me crave even more adventures. Infected is the 2nd book in the outlaw trilogy and it sheds some light on chases condition and how there are others like him and unfortunately they arn't all that good. Chase still try's to balance his highschool life with his butt kicking Outlaw persona but with struggles building it starts to be more than he can bear. I finished Infected in record time not only because of the page turning act [...]

Original and Very EntertainingGreat everything, Mr Janney is living the dream of English teachers everywhere; he is a published writer. Not only that but he is an author of stories that engage and entertain, he might even be laying down insight through his prose. This book should appeal to the YA segment. While I am decades past YA, I enjoyed Mr Janney's tale very much. Just one small annoyance, all of the characters are beautiful on the outside. I know this because it is reiterated throughout " [...]

This second book in the Outlaw series. After getting out of the hospital, Chase finds himself not only in more trouble, but more girl trouble besides. He learns there are even more people like him. Most of them die very young. He has to continue to be a hero while trying to navigate the new rules dictated for his life. Meanwhile, there's a great many riots, as a new criminal mastermind come to the fore.Pretty good, although I think some of the switched perspective technique doesn't work as well a [...]
