If I can honestly say that the book wasn't as good as the movie, and the movie was The Phantom Menace, I think there's something wrong. And I like the prequels.

This book is the other side of the movie that I haven't seen. And as they always say, the book is better than the movie. That applies to this book as well. The characters are the same as we see in the movie, but somewhat better than seeing them on the movie screen. A draw back to the book is that it takes longer to finish, but that makes little impact to my final feelings towards the book. Over all, this book has earned the five stars it was given. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes [...]

The interpretation of star was: the phantom menace was very good and is simple for new fans of the movie(even though the prequels are not as good as the first) might as well be the script because how well it was described and put into wordsd it introduces the characters well and the story of the Jedi and there story and the planet of naboo the blockade. And how the Jedi where sent to help end it but get more trouble.

Yet another take of the Phantom Menace storyline. Redundant in many ways, but The Phantom Menace era is known for that of course. The artwork is average at best and the storyline is extremely edited down. I wouldnt usually harp on this being its a childrens book, but other kids books on the Phantom Menace do it much better than this.

I would like to watch all the Star Wars movies before the release of the brand new movie in December. Saw these Little Golden Book Star Wars books and knew my little girl would love them. There are six of them for each of the movies. They serve as a Cliff notes version for me;) I really liked "The Phantom Menace" story and illustrations.

A really nice straightforward and fun version of the story of the first Star Wars movie. Beautiful and sometimes amusing illustrations. The story is told well without missing anything important but does allow for a young reader to get through the whole book in one sitting.

A wonderful new way to experience a galaxy far far away. This first volume in the Golden Books series gives a concise telling of events from Episode I. I loved the art in this volume and that the creators were female

I love the fact that they are getting the little ones "hyped-up" for the new Star Wars movie. The story is close to the film. Loved the illustrations and it was very easy to read. So getting ready for the Star Wars movie, can't wait!

This entire book confused me.Then I remembered that it's because I've never actually watched The Phantom Menace.Oops.

I'll never like this tale more than the original trilogy, but the Little Golden Book is a lot easier to digest than the film.
