      I think the reason I mainly liked this book is because of the atmosphere of the Old West & uncharted territory. I didn't quite understand the attraction between the main characters & the fact that he liked her when he was 21 & she was 15 was a little disturbing to me, no matter what was acceptable back then.       I love Kate Bridges. She writes historical romances where you never have to roll your eyes at purple prose. (Well, rarely, anyway.) There's always some sort of mystery, some adventure, some tension and, very importantly, a Paul Gross-lookalike Mountie with Slings & Arrows hair. You just can't go wrong! I've yet to dislike a book she's written. Good times, great writing.
