Are you ready for an asexual character who falls in love with the person, not the sex? Oh, there is sex in the book. Hot as it can be, and called the Big O, but it’s not what you may have come to expect from a gay romance novel. But if the intense sex scenes don’t get your motor running I don’t know what will. Got you curious? Get the book.I really admire Nicole Dennis for taking on this unconventional twist on the romance novel. There’s also a potential murderer with an unconventional M [...]

Following the Law (Southern Charm #5) by Nicole Dennis4 starsM/M Romance, mysteryTrigger: Abusive familyI was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.Robin Burke has had a secret crush on the town IT man for a while, but when tragedy strikes, Beau Courtenay has to return to London to care for his ailing father. Burke doesn't lose hope, nor does he allow whomever is wreaking havoc on his town to get away with it.I enjoyed this story quite a bit. While it was not chalked full o [...]

I’ve enjoyed Dennis’ writing, and this series, so when the opportunity came up to review this book, I very quickly jumped on it.Right off the bat, I do want to say that I loved how Dennis worked the fact that Beau is asexual into the story. To be honest, when I first realized that, I almost stopped reading the book because I’ve never read a book about an asexual character before, but I’m glad to say that I am so happy that I kept reading the book! The fact that Beau is asexual is a big th [...]

Original review on Molly LollyFour and a half stars! This was such a good story. I really enjoyed how beau and Robin got together and built their relationship slowly. Poor Beau was skittish to share an important part of himself. But Robin was so amazing in how he took Beau’s revelations. The mystery aspect was so good! I figured part of it out quickly. However another part I was way wrong on. This is the first book in the series I’ve read and I wasn’t confused or lost in any part. Though I [...]

Can it get any better????Ok, so normally I don't go in for an HEA series. I mean there is only so many ways you can tell the story of two souls finding their perfect mate. But Nicole has a way of keeping each one fresh, suspenseful, sensual and ash all around good read. Keep up the good work.

I wish it would have gone into the asexuality aspect a little more. I was quite bummed it was only touched on and never talked about in detail. Too many things happening at once here. I liked Beau and Robin, though.

No Sex Just toys? First I can't imagine moving in with someone and loving them knowing you can't have sex. I mean never ever ever. It was a!most over before they got to the toys I think my kindle was at 70%. The only good part about this book is you find out who hurt Samuel and who is the thief. And booh are whom you except them to be. I didn't like the last book but thought it might have been a fluke that they had no chemistry even the jealous scene at the club was a joke. Also washing the dye [...]

The writing was a bit strange. The speech was very clunky. I was drawn in anyway. I was quite happy not to have read the earlier books. This book filled me in perfectly well. I enjoyed that much of the book was about their jobs and the mystery. I liked the book enough to finish, but do not feel motivated to read more of her books. I didn't really connect with the book.

I am glad that the various storylines are beginning to tie up. A lot of them were quite predictable, and while it wasn't explicit, the reader was able to accurately assume the outcome practically from the onset. This resulted in feeling like the series was dragging, as the reader had to wait a long time for the character to figure out something that was obvious from the beginning.

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode in the series. Different, interesting and at last we have answers. Loved it. I'm not sure why it sat in the TBR pile for so long.
