Downloaded for free from “It was so different kissing Maddy, and I couldn’t get enough.” Well, anyone who has read the first book knows how this story goes (it’s the same story told from Jake’s perspective), but it was nice to read Jake’s side of the story. He really did put ideas in Andy’s head when he told him to break up with Maddy if he wanted sex (though Andy shouldn’t have cheated). But at least Jake didn’t cheat on Maddy.6 out of 10

Fate is the second book of the Soulmates series. It is the story of Soulmates told in Jake's POV.Madison and Jake met as young children. They shared their first kiss and became best friends. As they grow and begin to face the trials of life, the two have a major fight. Their friendship is torn apart over a handful of hurtful words. Both Jake and Maddy have feelings for each other yet continue to verbally "bully" each other throughout high school. It is a tragedy that brings these two back togethe [...]

Wow. Well such a bitter-sweet moment. I'm sad to say goodbye to Maddy, Jake and the gang but I'm very happy with their ending - it was most definitely well-deserved, hard earned and a long time coming. ;)The covers are absolutely beautiful and I fell in love with them just as much as I did the story. It looks so pretty it in my e-reader! :)I felt like this book was so beautiful and different because the characters were all pretty normal and the story shows a typical life of young, ordinary teens [...]

I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest reviewThis book is basically the first book of this series, Soulmates, but told from Jake's perspective. It was nice to know everything from his POV.I think I would have preferred for this book and the previous book to have been combined, with their story being told from both of their POV's at once.

Fate is the same story as Soulmates just told from Jakes POV. I did have a soft spot for Jake from the first book so it was nice to read it from his POV. Felt sorry for him with what he had to go through in his home life. If your looking for an easy light read I would recommend reading these books, there is enough drama to keep you going but its a nice young adult read. Even knowing what the dramatic event was that brought them both closer again, it still upset me as much as it did in the first [...]

Inside Jake's HeadWow!I read this right after SOULMATES, and I'm glad I did because it provided a powerful one-two punch of Maddy/Jake each giving their side of their love story. And this IS a love storyyoung love that's full of hopes and mistakes and life. Jake showed a lot of promise in SOULMATES, and FATE delivers on that, giving us insight into how he views Maddy and their relationship. He's not just a badass, but a badass with surprising depth. Wouldn't we all like to find one of those! Gen [...]

**ARC provided by author for honest reviewSo when I left my review for book one I asked to fall in love with Jake, WISH GRANTED in book 2. While I didn't expect at the time for it to be a retelling of the previous story, I only asked to fall more in love with Jake and get a little more of Chris. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR I gies. So while I don't typically like retelling of the same story from a different POV; I actually quite enjoyed this because it had the pieces I needed to fill the holes o [...]

I kindly received this book by the author for an honest review.I liked this book, told in Jakes POV, better than I did the first in this series. Mainly because I felt like I knew Jake better, and I believed that he had true feelings for Maddy. Jake had a lot of growing up to do and I felt used sex as his "go to" because of the bad home life he had. Maddy, his childhood friend, and indeed soulmate, was perfect for him, but it took a really long time for Jake to realize this. This book gave insigh [...]

Amazing The first book of this series was told in Maddy's POV. This one is through Jakes. Anytime you read the story, focusing around two main characters, with only one POV, you always wonder what other is thinking.I loved that the author allowed us to see into Jakes mind, to see what he was thinking. I struggled with a love/hate for Jake, but after reading this story, filling in the gaps, I think his character is amazing and adored this story.

Thanks Nicole for sending me this book to review.I really enjoyed reading from Jake's POV. We now know his side of the story. My only problem with this book is I was reading almost the exact same book again. Another great book from a talented author.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a quick, fun, sweet read. It reminded me of what it was like to be a teenager in high school again, and of that roller coaster of emotion, all consuming, first love.Jake and Maddy met when they were six years old and have been best friends ever since. That is, until teenage hormones and a misunderstanding ignites a spark that leads them to exchange words that can never be unspoken. Soon, they both find themselves on a quick downward spiral to being enemies rath [...]

This book was a lovely read. My usual read are dark reads but this is a light, lovely quick readwhich I thoroughly enjoyed for a change. The story is about Jake and Maddy, who meet when they a 6 years old. There story follows their lives showing how they grow and develop into adulthood. They are best friends, but then maturity hits, sex and arousal comes into play, but they find it weird to think of getting together. We see how alcohol takes its toll on both their life's and the tragic twists of [...]

So Will thy be able to mend the ways & Become Best of Mates again. These 2 you can see through ALL the Highs, Lows and HEARTBREAK. With th [...]

ARC Review I really loved Jake' s POV. I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5 due to errors on pgs 119 misspelled words & 137( not sure if live was supposed to be love.) I am not trying to be picky just thought I would say why 4 out of 5. Now about the book. Jake Keller has known Maddy Wright since he was six years old. He always wanted to be around her until things happened in high-school and they became bitter enemies. When Jake's brother Chris died they put aside their differences and becom [...]

I received this book in exchange for my honest review! This was a good second book written from Jakes POV. There were times I felt as though a teenager was writing the book itself, however, the book was quite fast paced, ranging through high school and college. This is a new adult book I believe, and is a good, quick read. You will want to punch Jake in the face a few times, just be warned. However, if you have read the first book then you already know that. I was pleased with the ending though, a [...]

ARC review. If you likes Soulmates then you will definitely like Fate. Fate is Jake's POV so you get a little different take on his and Maddy's story. I actually liked Fate a tad bit more, not sure why that is I guess I just connected more to the story. With Fate there is more insight on a few things like with his brother Chris, Alaska and also with his friends. This was a quick easy read. I enjoyed it. I thought Nicole did a great job with the writing.

I received this book for my honest review. This is the last book so far in the series that is left I read and while I did enjoy seeing Jake's POV this one is about a two and a half start rating. The reason is not for grammar or spelling. My main issue is the same problem I had with book 1. I enjoy my H/h exclusive. Jake and Maddy have other relationships and where Jake is concerned it is more f--k buddies than anything serious. If you read book 1 it is through Maddy's eyes and I do think in ways [...]

This book, together with the first one in the series (Soulmates), was kindly provided to me by the author for an honest review.I understand those are the very first books for this author, and I tried to keep it in mind while reviewing. First, let me state that this is not a YA book.I personally believe that it shows a biased / hyper-sexualized view of teenagers, but it also correctly reflects their mood changes, and the way any tiny bump on the road can transform into something huge and affect l [...]

This is the second book in the Soulmates series. Although this book is basically the same story as Soulmates, it is told from Jake's POV. If you have read Soulmates, you will already know the storyline, so theoretically this book can be read on its own. For those that haven't read Soulmates this is a story of coming of age and falling in love in High School/college. Jake develops feelings for his best friend, Maddison (Maddy) but is too scared to act on them, so instead throws himself into being [...]

I was gifted this by Nicole for an honest review I read her first book (soulmates) loved it this book was told in 'maddy's POV, and what a love story you can read the reviews on that one. Book 2 - Fate was in Jake's 'POV' and even though it told the story, it was from Jake's perspective and what I also liked that the author, Nicole did was she included the entire 'gang' in book 2 (Fate) so you really got to also see the story of ALL their friends as well ie, Andy, Paul, Michelle, Jackie, and eve [...]

ERIN'S REVIEW4 STARSOnce again, Nicole delivers with a book full of feels. This story is told in first person from Jake’s POV. And what a story it is. In the first one, there were times that I was cussing up a storm at Jake. However, with this story, I am now understanding where Jake was emotionally during the times I wanted to drown him. I am always happy when I can change my opinion of a character. Getting a better, more in depth look at Jake was eye opening. Some of the parts of Madison’s [...]

*I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review*Seeing as this is still the same story as the first book, only it's in Jake's POV, I'll comment on how seeing his thoughts changed my opinion I made of him from reading the first book. In this book I could see Jake's logic, and that helped me understand why he did certain things. I get that temper can control a person and bring things too far. Jake seemed like such a monster in the first book, but seeing him in this book changed everything [...]

Fate was a pretty good follow-up for people who liked Soulmates.I really enjoyed reading Jake's point of view. As a reader, I personally enjoy the male perspective more. And this was no exception. With Jake's perspective, the reader gets a larger view of everything that happens and why Jakes acts the way he does. We also get to hear more from the rest of the group of friends (which is nice since in Soulmates Paul had like one line). Being able to actually read about how they interact gives them [...]

Going into this book i knew it was basically a retelling of Soulmate but in Jake's POV. Which dont get me wrong I loved hearing Jakes side but a part of me wishes that it would have gone a little bit deeper into his thoughts and feelings. I cannot say it is a bad book because honestly it is not I loved Jakes side and finding out how much of a factor he played into what he said to Andy while him and Maddy were dating. You get a better understanding of why he acted the way he did towards Maddy. Fo [...]
