      All I can say is oh my fucking god. Ms Ricci has delivered an amazing story of a young woman who, although pushed about by those with more power than she, makes the best of what she has and is active rather than reactive. Definitely a must read.

      2.5 stars.This is a hard book to rate and review. While it grew on me from my initial impressions (which almost resulted in a DNF), it has some deep flaws that stopped me from really connecting with the story, characters, and romance.I liked the premise; that's what got me to pre-order the book in the first place. The idea of a forced marriage that becomes loving is an interesting one, but one that has to be pulled off carefully. I've never read an F/F book about such an arrangement, and was hop [...]

      This book started out a bit on the awkward side but was quick to warm up and catch my interest. The idea behind it was interesting and well put together. There were a few spots where the back information was a bit too much all at once. These could have been done in a conversation type of setting with better results.
