If your longing for an escape from your chaotic and hectic life and want to be on a cruise on the high seas. If you are a book fan, like myself and that cruise was a bookish cruise, geared to nothing but being able to relax with a good book, poolside, take in a show, pamper yourself or have a book by a favourite author signed or hear them talk but you can not find a cruise like this then reading Title Wave is your answer.Haven't got a Clue, bookstore owner, Trisha Miles and her sister, cookbook a [...]

*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from Berkley and Netgalley. This title will be released on June 14. All thoughts stated in this review are entirely my own.*The Booktown series was one of the first cozy mysteries I started reading; they have consistently been solid, engaging mysteries. This one was no different. Ms. Barrett took a tried-and-true setting (a cruise ship) and put her spin on it to create a wonderful book.Tricia is dealing with emotional struggle [...]

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my fair and honest review. All thoughts are my own.I really love this series. I have read all of the books over and over again and always anxiously await the next in the series. Tricia and Angelica are great characters and the author has brought them to life with her incredible style of writing. In this particular story, the sisters are on a Mystery Lovers cruise with their extended family and friends. While Angelica [...]

Another wonderful installment to the bestselling Booktown Mysteries!I was a bit hesitant when I first started reading TITLE WAVE. I don’t normally care for books that take the main character away from their hometown. I needn’t have worried. Author Lorna Barrett transitioned her protagonist and friends perfectly. The cruise ship themed story made for a marvelous whodunit! A tale of murder on the high seas, TITLE WAVE was a fast moving thrill ride. Chapter after chapter this story was filled w [...]

This series just keeps getting better and better. After the emotional rollercoaster ride in the last book, I wasn’t sure if Barrett would be able to top it, but I was not disappointed. It was fun to join the characters for a “relaxing” vacation aboard a cruise to Bermuda. Cruising and cozies are two of my favorite things, so this was the perfect book for me. The author’s descriptive writing style transports you onboard and you quickly get lost in the adventure. A possible murder committe [...]

About 1/3rd into this book I was ready to take it back to the library and forget the series. Tricia our lead busybody was on a cruise with various family and friends from town. While Barrett has portrayed her as a snoop and know-it all with various quirks, she has never really pushed the odd behavior outside of the snooping and interference in police matters. But early on we had her portrayed here as definitely mentally unstable. But as I hate dropping a read I plodded on and about 2/3rds in we [...]

Recovering from a recent tragedy, mystery bookstore owner Tricia is persuaded to take a cruise featuring mystery writers. She and her sister, Angelica, set out to relax and network but end up discovering the body of a very unpleasant famous mystery writer. Suicide is the official verdict by shipboard security but Tricia has serious doubts based on what she saw when she found the body. This is the tenth book in the series and it continues to entertain with wonderful characters and a twisted myste [...]

I love this series, and was kind of hesitant when I heard everyone was going on a cruise. but true to form, Lorna didn't disappoint me. This is another excellent book in this series. You can read what it is about in the description. I found it interesting that we found out why Tricia doesn't/ didn't eat much, but now, we'll have to see. And the ending! Lorna always makes me want to read the next book in this series right away because she left us hanging. Alas, I have to wait a year to find out w [...]

Tricia and Angelica and family are on a well needed vacation. A wonderful mystery theme cruise aboard the Celtic Lady. Since we all know Tricia's known as the town jinx what could go wrong on a ship away from Stoneham. A murder out at sea with plenty of suspects, twists and turns to keep you guessing. Family dynamics that bring you to understand Tricia and Angelica better. Title Wave is another wonderfully written Booktown Mysteries by Lorna Barrett.Looking forward to the next one and wishing I [...]

Title Wave by Lorna Barrett is the tenth book in A Booktown Mystery series. Tricia Miles and her sister, Angelica Miles are going on a Mystery Lover’s cruise on the Celtic Lady along with family members (Antonio and Ginny Barbero and their daughter, Sofia) and colleagues from the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce. Milford Travel proposed the excursion and it is taking place during the slow period for their town. They are all looking forward to spending some time in the sun (and away from the snow). [...]

No one writes like Lorna does. Her series is the standard to which I hold all cozy mysteries to. This well established series celebrates and awakens something, in my soul. Her books helped me to come to terms with and understand the changes that were happening in my own life. At the time I found her first book Murder is Binding, (which came out two years before it made it to my tea table), my mother had just passed away and I was looking for a good book to take me away. I found hers by spinning [...]

Tricia and her sister, Angelica, are off on a much needed vacation, courtesy of a Mystery Cruise sponsored through their town's Chamber of Commerce. Several other town members have also joined them on the cruise, including Antonio and his new family, and Mr. Everett and Grace. It has been a tough year for Tricia but she is looking forward to this cruise. Unfortunately, she once again stumbles over the dead body of one of the mystery authors, and while the authorities seem to be leaning toward su [...]

Each entry into the Booktown Mysteries series has been better than the last, and the tenth and latest, Titlewave ,is no exception. Tricia and her family as well as nearly every other bookseller in Stoneham, New Hampshire, are on board the Celtic Lady for a mystery-themed cruise. Passengers include mystery writers of every stripe as well as one particularly nasty one from Tricia's past, E.M. Barstow. The solution to the main mystery was not obvious and not solved until the last few pages. Meanwhi [...]

"Title Wave" by Lorna Barrett is Book 10 in the Booktown Mystery series. However, it is the first book I have read in the series, and I must say that I was able to quickly and easily figure out all the characters and their relationships to one another. I did not feel at any disadvantage for having missed the earlier books, and this is rare in series works, especially when starting so late in the game. I appreciated the effort the author took to provide all the relevant information in an interest [...]

This was a very different setting for the sister sleuths, Tricia and Angelica Miles. Angelica, cookbook author and busy business owner, convinces the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce to join her on a cruise to Bermuda. Book ten in this series has the usual crew taking a cruise (mystery themed) but it wouldn't be much of a plot unless Tricia found a dead body. The usual drama and character interactions abound. Extremely light on the actual "mystery". Even for a cozy mystery this was light on suspense, intrigue, danger etc.A palate cleanser if nothing else.

With a few family upsets and a possible secret admirer thrown in, there is soon a suicide or is it a homicide. Tricia fights with cruise security to get them to investigate. I saw this at my local library and picked it up because I read the first 9 books, and I forgot why I stopped reading them. I stopped reading them because Tricia is a judgmental piece of 💩. I forgot that Tricia is a trash person who claims to be broken up about her ex being murdered, but she accused him of stalking her because he tried to be her friend. I forgot that Tricia was human garbage that once discounted a rape victim because she was large and "who would want to have sex with her?" Tri [...]

See this and more of my reviews at Mystereity ReviewsTricia and Angelica have set out on a book lovers cruise, featuring many popular mystery authors, including EM Barstow, the author of a hit mystery series. EM is an abrasive woman who makes enemies wherever she goes, so it's no surprise when Tricia later finds her dead, hanging from her shower by a scarf. This is the 10th book in this series, which is one that I normally enjoy. This was a struggle to read, taking me far longer than it usually would and I found it difficult to connect with or care about any of the characters, old or new. I have zero interest in cruises so that could definitely be part of the problem, although I AM glad that Trisha is *finally* over her ridiculous eating restrictions. That had become beyond tiresome.Apart from lots of walking around the ship, eating and drinking, a [...]

Tricia is a world class jerk. I have been reading this series for awhile now and I thought Tricia was on a better path. She seemed more human and less bitchy. Her true personality came roaring back with this one. Each time something happened to Tricia in the book, she complained about it. I am around people like that constantly and I can't stand it. Nothing is ever good enough for them. And they consistently do 'good' things for others in the hopes that things will turn in their favor but they n [...]

Mystery bookseller Tricia and her entrepreneurial sister Angelica really need a vacation. Angelica organizes a Chamber of Commerce cruise for local New Hampshire business owners during their slack season, and they're off to Bermuda on a booklovers' cruise. When Tricia finds one of the authors dead, she doesn't believe it's suicide, despite the desire of the cruise officials to derail negative publicity. Tricia really grows emotionally during the cruise--since she's in her 40's, it's nice to see [...]

Some murder mystery series get better with each book, and some of them start gradually winding down, losing steam with each book. Although this is one of my favorite series, I am afraid, it is in the second category. This book almost has no story line and hardly has a murder mystery. (While on a cruise ship, the main and the supporting characters get up in the morning, eat breakfast, go to a bar, eat lunch, go to a bar, eat dinner, go to a bar, go to bed, and start all over again the following d [...]
