From ghost town to growing community, it’s been a few years since a group of strangers inherited property in tiny, deserted Fat Chance, Texas. Plans to pave the town may put Dymphna Pearl and her beau, Professor Johnson, on opposite sides of Main Street. In his zeal for the project, he’s making great decisions for Fat Chance, but not for them as a couple. Disgruntled, Dymphna heads back to Los Angeles to collect the rabbits she’s created a special place for in the hot Texas climate. Profes [...]

This is a great book; this is the third book in the Fat Chance, Texas series written by Celia Bonaduce. The books in this series can be read as a standalone, but once you read one you will want to go back and read the other books. It has been a few years since an eccentric billionaire summoned seven strangers to the dilapidated, postage stamp sized town of Fat Chance, Texas. Besides creating businesses, they’ve developed friendships and romances too. But plans to pave the town may put Dymphna [...]

Livin' Large In Fat Chance, Texas by Celia Bonaduce continues a unique story-line of a group of people being part of rebuilding a ghost town. As the first two books, this one has some of the same eccentric townspeople and a few new ones. Dymphna Pearl a main character in all three has more difficulties with her Professor Johnson. The people has always have different opinions and ways about going about anything that they try. Think Mayberry Texas style. It is a hilarious read that is part of a hi [...]

Not having read the first two books in this series did not take away from the enjoyment of this quirky and humorous storyough I do want to go back and read the first two books to get more of the back ground of the town and its characters. The characters are all so charming and give the story depth and dimension, each one was unique and held so much personality. I enjoyed the premise of the story of a group of people invested in growing a small town and seeing it prosper. I look forward to readin [...]

Another fun read going back to Fat Chance, Texas. You don't need to read the previous books but it will be beneficial to have the background. Book three has our 6 original residents enjoying a little prosperity as the grape vineyards are growing and there is an actual road into town. Dymphna Pearl is heading back to LA to pick up her rabbits and while she's away, Professor Johnson meets her sister Maggie. Celia Bonaduce is adding a few new characters in each story and the place is getting to be [...]
