Cornwall's First Export Fair

Export Cornwall has announced that Cornwall’s first ever export fair will take place at Kingsley Village on 22nd March 2012. The Export Cafe will host country specialists and representatives from embassies in China, Russia, the USA and Europe who are hot footing it to Cornwall to take part in the event. They will be joined by over 30 exhibitors representing the various organisations that can help Cornish businesses to export.

Lara Morgan, an entrepreneur who founded and built the multi-million pound international business Pacific Direct Ltd will also be speaking at the event.

The export fair is being staged by Export Cornwall, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Convergence programme and run by UK Trade & Investment. It is aimed at supporting Cornish businesses of all types and sizes to build trade overseas.

As well as the many exhibitor stands at Export Cafe, there will be short workshops on a range of topics to help businesses export and the opportunity to hold one to one discussions with experts. Topics covered at Export Cafe include freight forwarding, finance, intellectual property and how to find an agent or distributor.

Workshops and one to one meetings should be pre-booked but any business in Cornwall is welcome to drop in to the Export Cafe on the day.
